SimCity SNES Soundtrack Makes A Surprise Return In This Week's Nintendo Music Update

Nintendo has updated its music app for Switch Online members, introducing the soundtrack for the Super Nintendo version of SimCity. Originally released in 1991, the city-building game was created by Will Wright, with Nintendo helping Maxis and publishing the title. The newly added soundtrack, composed by Soyo Oka, features 21 songs and spans a runtime of 23 minutes.

Despite the arrival of its music on the app, the SimCity game itself is currently unavailable within the Switch Online 'Nintendo Classics' SNES library. The title was previously available on the Wii generation's Virtual Console before eventually being removed from the service.

This latest addition follows an earlier music app update that introduced soundtracks from Mario Kart World, specifically featuring free roam themes associated with Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World.
