September mobile download charts: Free Fire Max leads, Bus Fever Party surges

MaxGG News: Appmagic has published its September mobile game download charts, with Free Fire Max leading the top of the list. The Garena battle royale generated around 22 million installs, roughly matching the level it has posted since March. Roblox recorded a second straight month of slight download decline. The platform fell to just over 20 million downloads in September after nearly 23 million in July. The source contrasts that with last summer, when it was hitting about 35 million downloads per month in July and August 2025.

Hungry Studio's Block Blast stayed in the 15 million install range for a third straight month. The biggest new entry was Lumi Games' Bus Fever Party, which leapt 141 places month-on-month to reach nearly 13 million installs. It appears to have displaced the earlier bus-puzzler Bus Traffic Fever, which dropped 23 places.

Subway Surfers returned to about 12 million monthly installs after an August spike. Grand Games' Block Out fell from nearly 14 million downloads in August to just under 12 million in September. Learnings' Meowdoku reached 11.5 million downloads, its best-ever month, and the source notes it is inspired by a Queens game on LinkedIn.

Ivy Mobile's Color Block rose 12 places to ninth. The source says the company also makes titles inspired by Arrows, Pixel Flow and Magic Sort, and that Color Block has cycled through names since its 2024 launch. Miniclip's Arrows fell to just over 10 million installs after nearly 20 million in July.

Grand Games' Magic Sort moved from the top ten to eleventh with 8.7 million installs. Other top 20 entries included Mob Control at 8.4 million, Amaze Go at 8.39 million, Paper.io 2 at 8.38 million, Vita Mahjong at 8.38 million, Block Craft 3D at 8.2 million, Gossip Harbor at 7.9 million, Football League 2026 at 7.7 million, Brain Puzzle 3 at 7.5 million, and 8 Ball Pool at 7.48 million.

Mystery Dumpling dropped 19 places to 36th. Several familiar titles rose, including Mob Control up four places, Vita Mahjong up eight, Block Craft 3D up six, and Gossip Harbor up 12. SmallStep Tech's Brain Puzzle 3 rose 39 places, entering the top 20 for the first time.
