Free Fire Sensitivity Settings Guide for Headshots and Close Combat
A practical guide to Free Fire aim sensitivity tuning across device types, with recommended values for headshots, one-tap shots, and different phone specifications.
Free Fire players can fine-tune their aim by adjusting sensitivity settings across six different scopes and camera modes. Sensitivity directly affects how quickly your crosshair moves when you drag toward an opponent, making it a core element of competitive aim.
The 0-200 sensitivity scale is standard in current Free Fire versions. A balanced starting point for headshot accuracy is General 185, Red Dot 180, 2x Scope 160, 4x Scope 140, Sniper Scope 85, and Free Look 120. These values prioritize fast drag movement for close-range engagements while keeping scoped aim controllable at distance.
General sensitivity affects overall camera movement and should be your first adjustment if drag feels too slow or fast. Red Dot sensitivity matters most during medium-range fights. Keeping 2x and 4x Scope values lower than General helps prevent overshooting. Sniper Scope works differently and benefits from lower values to enable precise small corrections.
For one-tap headshots, players should focus on control over maximum speed. Starting the crosshair near the upper chest and making a short upward drag while firing reduces the risk of overshooting. Setting every slider to 200 is unnecessary and often counterproductive.
Close-range engagements with shotguns and SMGs require faster camera movement. Aggressive players can slightly increase General and Red Dot values compared to balanced setups, though short controlled movements remain more effective than large swipes.
Device capabilities significantly affect optimal sensitivity. Low-end phones with 2GB to 3GB RAM should use higher General and Red Dot values to compensate for potential frame rate drops or input lag. Mid-range devices with 4GB to 6GB RAM work well with balanced setups suited to mixed combat distances. High-end phones and 90Hz or 120Hz displays can use lower values, since faster touch response and stable frame rates make sensitivity feel more responsive.
The Training Ground is the best place to refine settings. Players should test one weapon repeatedly, starting from the upper chest and making short upward drags. Lower General by 3 to 5 points if the crosshair goes above the head. Raise it by the same amount if it stays near the chest. Changes should be small and tested over multiple sessions rather than adjusted after single matches.
DPI adjustments at the system level are not required for good aim and should only be changed if you already understand how they affect touch controls. In-game sensitivity and stable frame rates matter more than copying settings from videos.
Core aiming tips include keeping your crosshair near the upper chest for a short path to the head, using short upward drags instead of large movements, practicing one weapon at a time to build muscle memory, and avoiding frequent sensitivity changes. Lower scope sensitivity is particularly effective for long-range corrections.
The current Free Fire patch is OB55, dated September 10, 2026. Sensitivity values can change in future updates, so players should verify in-game sliders before adopting older setups.
