Sega Announces Classic and Modern Sonic Collections for Nintendo Switch
Sega has announced two physical game collections for the Nintendo Switch as part of Sonic the Hedgehog's 35th birthday celebrations, featuring classic and modern titles.
As part of Sonic the Hedgehog's 35th birthday celebrations, Sega has announced two separate physical game collections coming to the Nintendo Switch. Following initial announcements, physical listings and box art have emerged online via Canadian distributor PNP Games, showcasing both the "Classic" and "Modern" bundles.
Scheduled to release on October 20th, 2026, both collections are priced at $49.99 USD (listed at $69.99 CAD). The physical editions include a 35th anniversary logo patch and reversible cover sheets. The Classic Sonic Collection bundles together Sonic Mania, Sonic Origins, and Sonic Superstars. Meanwhile, the Modern Sonic Collection includes Sonic Forces, Sonic Colors Ultimate, and Sonic Frontiers. Pre-orders for these physical releases are currently live through distributors like PNP Games ahead of their October launch.
In addition to these physical bundles, Sega also shadow-dropped Sonic Frontiers - Definitive Edition for the Switch 2.
