Developer Liquid Swords is preparing for the console launch of Samson: A Tyndalston Story on Xbox. The title is scheduled to arrive on September 21 to coincide with a large PC update. Ahead of the release, the development team shared a 37-minute video showcasing upcoming quality of life fixes and new features. Gameplay designers Donald Young and Tommy Rydling walked viewers through additions including new cosmetics, takedown driving, and combat adjustments.

While initial reviews for the game faced some criticism, the developers are implementing several changes to improve the experience. Players will be able to unlock six new jackets, with five tied to leveling and skill point progression. Combat indicators will introduce yellow and red flashes to help players identify incoming melee attacks. Vehicle combat also receives adjustments through new weak spot shaders on cars to show damage levels and target areas.

Additional changes include adjusted mission tuning to reduce frustrating failure states and the addition of dynamic events and debt collectors spawning throughout the city. Tutorials now feature clearer text and imagery, while debris boards offer more significant nitrous refills and vehicle repairs. Furthermore, action points are now easier to unlock.

While players cannot currently wishlist the title on Xbox consoles, the game is expected to cost £20.99 or $24.99 at launch. Fans can monitor the Xbox Store as the September 21 release date approaches.
