Rumor: Xbox Reportedly Working on a New Ori Game, According to Insider

A new game in the Ori series is rumored to be in production at Xbox, according to insider NateTheHate. The prominent leaker recently stated that a new Ori title is in the works, alongside hints about Xbox potentially working on a sequel to one of its modern franchises in collaboration with an unexpected developer.

Previous entries in the Metroidvania series, developed by Moon Studios, include Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. However, series creator Moon Studios is currently focused on No Rest for the Wicked, an action RPG set to leave early access on PC and PlayStation 5 in October. Past reports also suggested that the studio's relationship with Xbox fizzled out, meaning an outside developer could potentially take the helm for a third Ori game if the rumor proves accurate.

NateTheHate noted uncertainty regarding whether the project will debut at Gamescom Opening Night Live or at a later date. The insider previously shared information regarding a Star Fox game and a Zelda Ocarina of Time remake ahead of official announcements.
