High Roller Technologies CEO Seth Young believes the esports market in the United States is not yet ready to support high-volume prediction trading at scale. Speaking with Esports Insider, Young noted that while competitive gaming events frequently fill large arenas, that enthusiasm has not adequately translated into financial trading volume within the American market. Young stated that he held the same view seven years ago and still maintains that the domestic market requires more time to mature.

Young oversees the development of ROLR, an upcoming event contracts platform operated by High Roller Technologies. The platform recently advanced its launch plans following a deal with mrkts.com and a $26 million funding round raised in January. Although that funding total remains smaller than the capital backing competitors like Kalshi and Polymarket, Young remains confident that ROLR can secure a strong market share through targeted execution and measured spending strategies.

To stand out in a crowded sector projected to reach $1 trillion in volume by 2030, ROLR is focusing on product development and strategic partnerships. The platform has aligned with Spike Up Media for user acquisition and lead generation, alongside deals with Forever Network, Leverage Game Media, and Alliance.com. Young explained that these partnerships will help the company leverage large social media and media reaches spanning finance, sports, and crypto without adopting the broader multi-industry approaches of larger platforms.

Young's background includes competitive gaming experience during his youth, rising through the ranks in Counter-Strike 2 and briefly reaching the top 500 in Overwatch on Xbox before stepping away to focus entirely on business operations. As ROLR prepares for its full launch, Young follows the competitive scene primarily through historical social media clips, while positioning his company to capture its share of the expanding prediction market landscape.
