The Pokémon Trading Card Game's upcoming Delta Reign set will feature a new illustration rare Raikou ex card, officially revealed by The Pokémon Company. The card is illustrated by Oku, an artist known for a painterly style and vivid colors in Pokémon card designs.
Raikou ex depicts the Legendary Pokémon charging through a gorge on lightning strikes, rendered in a style reminiscent of centuries-old landscape paintings. The card carries 200 HP and features an attack dealing 200 damage. The power comes with a drawback: a coin flip determines whether Raikou ex can attack again during your next turn. On a tails result, the Pokémon cannot attack the following turn.
The card includes an additional ability that activates if you go first, allowing you to search your deck for an Energy card and attach it to Raikou ex during your first turn. This ability can accelerate the card's setup in favorable matchups.
Delta Reign releases in November. Pre-orders are expected to become available in the coming weeks, with major retailers like Miniature Market (US) and Amazon UK typically stocking Pokémon TCG products. The set follows the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration anniversary set.
