Pro CS2 player switches from Logitech Superstrike to older Superlight 2 citing inconsistency
A competitive Counter-Strike 2 player ditched the Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike for the previous-generation Superlight 2, citing inconsistent performance and weight balance issues with the newer model.

A competitive Counter-Strike 2 player has switched from the Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike to the older Superlight 2, citing performance inconsistency as the reason. Speaking at a Logitech G Play event, the player yxngstxr explained his experience with the Superstrike.
"Now I use the Superlight 2. I used [the Superstrike] before, when everyone used it... I feel like the Superstrike, sometimes it's good, but it's inconsistent," yxngstxr said. "Afro [a teammate] told me the AWP-er that the mouse weight was not correct, that it was more overweight. For me, maybe that was why, but I didn't feel it at all. I liked that you control the clicks, but for me, sometimes it was very good, and sometimes I didn't like it at all."
Notably, yxngstxr made these comments at an event specifically surrounding the launch of the X3 Superstrike. He had tried the original Superstrike while it was popular among pros but found the experience unreliable. Teammate feedback pointed to front-weighted balance as a potential culprit, though yxngstxr didn't personally notice the weight difference.
The weight balance concern appears to have resonated with Logitech, as the new X3 Superstrike features more central weighting, described as one of the biggest upgrades to the revised model. Whether yxngstxr will switch to the X3 remains to be seen.
Another competitive Counter-Strike player, Oscar "Azuwu" Bell, added that M0nesy, one of the best CS2 players, used the Superstrike during regular play but switched back to the Superlight before a major tournament, suggesting similar concerns about the mouse's reliability under high-pressure competition.
The Superstrike has been positioned as the best competitive gaming mouse in several roundups, but these accounts highlight performance consistency as a practical consideration for pro players when selecting peripherals.
