Pokémon Pokopia's Expansion Pass Is Getting A Packaged Download Release In Korea

Nintendo's Korean branch has announced a physical packaged download version for the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass on Switch 2, scheduled to launch on September 10, 2026.

Nintendo's Korean branch has announced a packaged download version for the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass on the Nintendo Switch 2. Following the recent launch of the pass, the physical edition is scheduled to arrive on September 10, 2026, with pre-orders currently available on the local Nintendo Store.

According to the official announcement, the release features a physical Nintendo Switch 2 game case containing a software download code rather than a traditional game card. Players must register the provided code on the Nintendo eShop for their console. At the moment, Nintendo has not mentioned whether this code-in-a-box release will be made available in regions outside of Korea.

The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass kicked off with the release of 'Bubbly Basin' earlier in the month, coinciding with the launch of the free Version 2.0.0 software update. A second DLC wave is scheduled to follow later this year, with a third part planned for 2027. When Pokémon Pokopia originally launched earlier in the year, it was distributed as a Game-Key Card release.
