Pokémon Pokopia Surpasses 5 Million Sales, Expansion Pass Part 1 Released

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company announce that Pokémon Pokopia has sold 5 million units globally, alongside the release of Expansion Pass Part 1 and a new underwater update.

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have announced that global sales for Pokémon Pokopia have surpassed 5 million units across both physical and digital versions. The milestone comes just over four months after the relaxing life simulation game launched exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 system on March 5, 2026.

In Pokémon Pokopia, players control a peculiar Ditto to restore a desolate land using transformation skills and crafting abilities to build a cozy utopia alongside other Pokémon.

Alongside the sales milestone, a free software update has been released for all players, introducing a new Dive move that enables Ditto to explore underwater. Furthermore, the first wave of paid downloadable content, the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, is available now. Part 1, titled Bubbly Basin, features an underwater town, additional Pokémon to discover, new furniture to build, and new food preparation options.

The remaining portions of the paid DLC are slated for future release. Part 2 of the expansion pass is scheduled to launch in late 2026, adding accessories for Pokémon to wear, while Part 3 is planned for release in 2027.
