New Features Detailed for Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Part 2

During a recent Nintendo Direct showcase, additional details were revealed for the second part of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass. Although the presentation did not provide a concrete release date, the second wave of content is scheduled to release later this year, following the "Bubbly Basin" addition that arrived in the expansion's first wave.

As previously established, the second part of the Pokopia Expansion Pass will not introduce a brand-new zone to the game. Instead, new zones are slated to return in Part 3. Part 2 focuses heavily on customization and adding new Pokémon to the game's roster.

The trailer revealed that new Pokémon including Doduo, Skitty, and Braixen will join the game. Based on how the Pokopia Pokédex functions, this likely confirms that their respective evolution families—specifically Dodrio, Delcatty, Fennekin, and Delphox—will also be added. To complement these additions, the trailer showcased new customization options such as sunglasses, bow ties, and ribbons. Players can equip these items to both their playable Ditto character and the other Pokémon inhabiting their towns.

Because this expansion installment does not include a new physical zone, it remains unclear how players will access or unlock the new content. This has led to questions regarding whether entirely new Habitats, utilizing items introduced in Part 2 of the Expansion Pass, will be required to attract these incoming Pokémon.
