Japanese airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) has unveiled a Pokemon-themed airliner to celebrate the franchise's 30th anniversary. The Green Pokemon Jet made its inaugural flight from Haneda to Honolulu following an unveiling event.

The aircraft extends beyond a simple wrap, featuring Pokemon characters including Bulbasaur and Pikachu on the exterior. The cabin includes Pokemon-branded headrest covers, paper cups, and napkins for passengers.

In-flight entertainment includes Pokemon: The First Movie and a best-of soundtrack compilation from the Pokemon animated series spanning 1997 to 2023.

Beyond Haneda, Japan's busiest airport, the Pokemon jet will operate routes to airports in Okinawa, Kyushu, and Shikoku. Pokemon was created in Japan, and this marks another chapter in the franchise's presence in Japanese aviation. Japan Airlines operated a Pokemon-themed domestic fleet in 2000. ANA also created a Pokemon-themed safety video in 2024 featuring franchise characters.
