Paddle Paddle Paddle launches surprise Nintendo Switch release

Publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer Mateo Covic have surprise-released Paddle Paddle Paddle on Nintendo Switch, with the game available immediately.

Paddle Paddle Paddle is described as a brutally frustrating physics-based co-op adventure. Players navigate a boat through hazards including swinging axes, wind gusts, steep slopes, and demanding platforming sections while managing shared paddle controls.

The game supports both solo and co-op play. Solo players control both paddles simultaneously, while co-op partners can play together online or offline with shared controls. The experience is designed to test coordination, patience, and friendships.

The Switch release follows strong performance on Steam, where Paddle Paddle Paddle has already sold over 280,000 copies. The game promises a lengthy adventure toward a mysterious prize at its conclusion, though developer notes suggest players may not survive the journey.
