October 2026 VR Games: Into the Radius 2 Arrives on PS VR2, Quest Gets 10+ New Titles

October 2026 shapes up as another active month for VR gaming, with releases spanning Meta Quest, PC VR, and PlayStation VR2. The slate includes action games, puzzle titles, fitness experiences, and story-driven adventures across multiple platforms.

Into the Radius 2 arrives on PS VR2 on October 8, bringing the dystopian survival shooter to Sony's headset. The game runs at a native 90fps with eye-tracked dynamic foveated rendering and uses PS VR2's Sense controller adaptive triggers and headset haptics. Co-op gameplay is not available at launch but is planned as a free update in Q4 2026. The title has already been available on PC VR and Quest.

Quest sees the largest number of new releases this month. VMX launches October 2, a gesture-based BMX and scooter trick game with multiplayer skatepark gameplay and vehicle customization. It follows an Early Access run on PC VR that began in March. Pedal Rebel arrives October 5 on both Quest and PC VR, converting exercise bikes into cyberpunk racing experiences with fitness tracking integration.

October 8 brings multiple releases. Walkabout Mini Golf receives the Escape From Planet Xylodon DLC across PC VR, PS VR2, Quest, Pico, and Samsung Galaxy XR, featuring an alien-world course with 18 collectible balls and a themed putter. Shil, a psychological horror puzzle game with AI-guided navigation and physics-based slingshot combat, launches on Quest, with a Steam release planned later. Birdseed VR, a cozy birdwatching and photography game, releases on PC VR after earlier Early Access on Quest.

Two major releases follow on October 15. Spymaster, a time-bending espionage action game from Innerspace, arrives on Quest and PC VR. Its core mechanic, the C.A.S.S.E.T.T.E. wrist device, lets players rewind time to fine-tune agent actions for coordinated missions. The full release includes three new campaign missions. Bad Inmate, an escape-room puzzle game, launches on Quest and PS VR2 on the same day, with a PC VR release planned for later. Disembodied, a mixed-reality platformer using real hand movements, also launches October 15 on Quest.

Later in the month, Terry's Terraforming debuts October 22 on Quest 3. Originally titled Janet's Planets, the terraforming adventure tasks players with transforming dying planets to suit alien inhabitants over a six-hour campaign. Operation Together, a one-to-four-player co-op military simulation emphasizing tactical teamwork, launches October 27 on PC VR, with Quest also receiving a Fall 2026 release window.

Dark Trip closes the month on October 29, arriving on Steam as a hybrid VR and non-VR title. Players investigate a missing daughter by solving escape-room puzzles in an abandoned laboratory and using hallucinatory pills to alter environments. The game completed an Early Access run on Quest in 2025.

Several titles remain without confirmed October dates, including Arizona Truck Driver for Quest, Sol Protocol for Steam, and Zero Caliber 2 for PS VR2.
