No Man's Sky Update 7.01 Released With Bug Fixes and Crash Patches
Hello Games has launched No Man's Sky update 7.01 to address various crashes, audio issues, and bugs introduced by the recent Cosmos content drop.

Developer Hello Games has released No Man's Sky update 7.01 following the recent launch of the game's Cosmos update. The new patch targets a wide range of lingering bugs, crash issues, and audio problems across multiple platforms. Notably, the update fixes a specific hang that affected PlayStation 5 players who were using the PlayStation 4 version of the game.
Among the technical fixes included in update 7.01 are resolutions for crashes related to audio management, downloading base images, Xeno Arena battles, and inventory rendering. The patch also tackles geometry issues with new base parts, fixes missing station decorations in Korvax-controlled stations, and addresses a bizarre bug that caused the Grave of the Ocean King to appear 600 times smaller than intended.
Multiplayer and space station features receive several quality-of-life adjustments as well. Players completing a space hulk or infested outpost together in multiplayer can now both claim rare items. Issues preventing station exterior decorations from unlocking correctly after purchase have been corrected, with certain space station parts now unlocked using salvaged materials. Additionally, control improvements have been implemented for space station decoration when playing in virtual reality.
Other fixes resolve camera problems during spacewalking, incorrect icon swaps for Pathogen Sacs and Viral Hearts, and an issue that allowed players using creative mode to fly inside the sun. Star system map navigation, alliance name displays on the teleporter UI, and teleporter screenshots of space station bases have also been polished in this release.
