Nintendo schedules Switch Online and eShop maintenance through October
Nintendo has announced downtime for Switch Online, save data transfers, and the eShop across multiple regions in late September and October 2026.

Nintendo has released its maintenance schedule for the coming weeks, with several downtime windows affecting core Switch services.
Nintendo Switch Online on the Home Menu will go offline on September 27 from 6 PM to 9:30 PM PT (9 PM to 12:30 AM ET, 2 AM to 5:30 AM UK time, 3 AM to 6:30 AM Europe time).
Save data and system transfer functions for both Switch 2 and Switch will be unavailable on September 28 from 11 PM to 12 AM PT (2 AM to 3 AM ET, 7 AM to 8 AM UK time, 8 AM to 9 AM Europe time). These services enable players to move data between devices or back up their progress.
The Nintendo eShop will experience downtime on October 19 and 20, affecting the ability to use prepaid funds cards and download codes. The maintenance runs from 8:45 PM to 1 AM PT (11:45 PM to 4 AM ET, 4:45 AM to 9 AM UK time, 5:45 AM to 10 AM Europe time).
Players in affected regions should plan accordingly and avoid attempting transfers or eShop purchases during these windows.
