Xbox Wire Details New Games Coming August 17 to 21

A fresh batch of upcoming games, pre-orders, and downloadable content has been detailed for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Game Pass for the week of August 17 to 21. Players can look forward to a diverse collection of genres spanning survival horror, action roguelites, retro-styled adventures, and strategy games.

Kicking off the week on August 17, Triomatica Games is releasing Black Flower, a strategic roguelike focused on survival and growth within a fragile garden managed through a magical calendar. Players with the Devout Edition of Mortal Shell II from Playstack will also gain up to 72 hours of advanced access starting August 17.

August 18 brings several pre-orders and launches, including Playground Productions' reimagined Backyard Baseball, which is optimized for Xbox Series X|S, supports Smart Delivery, and features Xbox Play Anywhere functionality. Frogwares' third-person survival horror game set in 1920s Arkham, The Sinking City 2, is also available for pre-order alongside Webnetic s.r.o.'s action roguelite Archerio and Elegant Horse Studios' physics-based driving title Driving is Hard.

A busy slate arrives on August 19, led by Hamster Corporation's classic arcade racing release Arcade Archives 2 CYBER CYCLES. Other August 19 arrivals include the hand-drawn casual platformer Cloudy Day by RainForest Game Studio, Stamina Zero LLC's side-scrolling pixel-art adventure Dark Reflection, and AMATA K.K.'s SNES-style 2D dungeon hack-and-slash RPG Dungeon Antiqua 2. Additional August 19 titles feature Soft Source Pte Ltd.'s heavy metal action roguelite Grim Trials, Silesia Games' Hidden Cats in Barcelona, and Obscure Cloud's WonderCat Adventures.

The week rounds out on August 20 with major content drops, highlighted by GSC Game World's massive non-linear expansion S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope. Also releasing on August 20 are Black Lantern Collective's surreal first-person incremental game Berry Bury Berry and Crazysoft Limited's local multiplayer title Educational Family Games, rounding out a packed weekly schedule for Xbox players.
