New Lollipop Chainsaw Game to Receive World Premiere Playable Demo at Tokyo Game Show 2026

Dragami Games has announced that its upcoming, brand-new Lollipop Chainsaw title will feature a world premiere playable demo at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Attendees will be able to get an early hands-on experience with the demo at the SEGA and Atlus booth later this month. According to the announcement details, players who try out the demo will receive an original keychain, while all booth visitors can grab a logo sticker while supplies last. The booth will also showcase a life-size chainsaw display, and PeachMilky, the official ambassador and cosplayer for the franchise, will make an appearance dressed in a brand-new Juliet Starric costume.

In addition to the playable demo, TGS 2026 will host a Lollipop Chainsaw New Project Main Stage Event scheduled for September 19 from 9:40 to 10:30 JST. The presentation is expected to feature intellectual property producers and development team representatives, including game director Mr. Nasu and JP Univers CEO Mr. Tabata, alongside a major announcement regarding the new project. Specific release dates and target platforms for the brand-new title remain unconfirmed by the developers, though additional details may surface during the convention.

Development on the new project is moving forward under a partnership between NADA HOLDINGS and Dragami Games, with a firm commitment to preserving and building upon the appeal of the original 2012 cult classic developed by Suda51's Grasshopper Manufacture and co-written by filmmaker James Gunn. The development team includes key staff members from past entries and aims to incorporate close attention to fan feedback. Dragami Games previously released Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, a remaster that launched across multiple platforms starting in 2024, followed by a Nintendo Switch 2 release in May 2026.
