Naughty Dog Goes Silent on Intergalactic Until 2027

Naughty Dog will not share significant updates on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet for the rest of 2026. Studio head Neil Druckmann made the announcement following The Last of Us Day, where Sony revealed multiple new projects in that franchise are under development.

"We're going to be quiet for the rest of this year," Druckmann said, explaining that the studio needs additional time to complete what he called the "most ambitious game" Naughty Dog has ever made. He acknowledged the long wait since the game's announcement. "We know it's been a long time since we've had much to share with you. We don't take your continued support for granted. We're working incredibly hard to make something worthy of your patience."

The studio offered new concept art showing the game's protagonist Jordan on the planet Sempiria to hold players over during the quiet period. Druckmann confirmed that 2027 will bring a "proper look" at the full scope of the project.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is a PS5 exclusive in development at Naughty Dog. The game has been in production for several years with limited public information released about its gameplay or story.
