Muramasa: Revenant Blades Release Date Set for February 2027
Vanillaware and publisher Marvelous have announced that Muramasa: Revenant Blades will release worldwide on February 4, 2027, for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Publisher Marvelous has confirmed that Vanillaware's upcoming action RPG, Muramasa: Revenant Blades, will launch worldwide on February 4, 2027. The game is an enhanced remaster of the 2009 title originally released as Muramasa: The Demon Blade on the Wii, which later saw a PlayStation Vita release under the title Muramasa Rebirth. The new multiplatform release will be available across PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Alongside the release date confirmation, Marvelous published a ten-minute gameplay showcase trailer. The video highlights action role-playing combat and exploration while providing a first look at the new English voice acting cast. The confirmed English voice cast includes Caleb Yen as Arashimaru, Adin Rudd as Gonbe, Chris Tergliafera as Jinkuro, Khoi Dao as Kisuke, Elsie Lovelock as Kongiku, Alice Himora as Momohime, Sam Slade as Okoi, Brianna Knickerbocker as Otae, Suzie Yeung as Rajaki, Chris Hackney as Seikichi, Blythe Melin as Shinzaemon, Anne Yatco as Shirohebi, Dawn M. Bennett as Torahime, and Amber Lee Connors as Yuzuruha. The showcase also highlights clips for characters who were previously DLC, such as Okoi and Gonbe.
Revenant Blades will make all six protagonists from the Muramasa Rebirth release available from the start. The game also features support for up to 4K resolution, new combat and weapon systems, and additional modes and gameplay options. Set deep in Japan's past, the plot follows a conflict erupting over fabled swords forged by the legendary Senji Muramasa, which grant incredible power alongside a blood-sated madness.
Physical pre-orders are available through the Marvelous USA Online Store and participating retailers. XSEED and Marvelous confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 version will not utilize a game-key card release. Standard editions are priced at $49.99 for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, and $59.99 for the Nintendo Switch 2. Limited editions are priced at $89.99 for the Switch and PS5, and $99.99 for the Switch 2, bundling a copy of the game with an art book, a seven-track CD soundtrack selection, and a 10-inch by 14-inch byōbu folding screen.
