Magic: The Gathering Star Trek Beginner Box cancelled in all regions due to production delays

Wizards of the Coast has cancelled the MTG Star Trek Beginner Box following delays in production, logistics, and shipping. The decision affects newcomers hoping to learn Magic with the Star Trek crossover, though other MTG Star Trek products remain

Wizards of the Coast has cancelled the Magic: The Gathering Star Trek Beginner Box in all regions. The publisher cited production, logistics, and shipping delays as the reason for the decision.

"Due to delays in production, logistics, and shipping, we will no longer be producing the Magic: The Gathering® | Star Trek™ Beginner Box. This product has been canceled in all regions," the company stated.

The cancellation affects only the Beginner Box itself. Other MTG Star Trek products remain available for pre-order through retailers like Amazon.

Players who pre-ordered the Beginner Box should contact their local game store or retailer for information about their orders. Events scheduled to use the product, such as sessions at MagicCon Atlanta, will have updated plans announced later.

For those still looking to introduce new players to Magic, Wizards highlighted alternative entry points. Welcome Decks are smaller starter packs containing the essentials for learning and playing Magic. The Star Trek Commander decks, while aimed at more experienced players, also offer a self-contained entry point with distinct strategies and are available at major retailers.
