Mike Tomlin to premiere his 12-year Minecraft city tonight

Mike Tomlin, the former head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers who joined NBC as a football analyst in April 2026, is premiering his Minecraft world tonight. Tomlin has been building the same world for the past 12 years and will showcase it in a YouTube video titled "ROOFTOPS, PENTHOUSES, AND URBAN LIVING," airing at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on September 30, 2026.

The video thumbnail reveals a sprawling city Tomlin has constructed, complete with skyscrapers and urban structures visible in the preview. Tomlin plays on PlayStation, as indicated by the DualSense controller featured in the thumbnail.

Tomlin began playing Minecraft with his children, who were fans of the game. After they grew up and moved on, Tomlin continued building independently. His children have assisted him in transferring the save file across PlayStation console generations over the years, allowing the world to persist and grow.

The reveal marks a notable moment for gaming culture, bringing together professional football and the creative building community. Tomlin's YouTube channel will host the premiere for fans interested in seeing what the longtime football figure has constructed during more than a decade of gameplay.
