Meta's Horizon Create lets players build and publish games from text prompts to Instagram and Facebook
Meta announced Horizon Create, a new app that generates playable games from text prompts and publishes them directly to social platforms. The tool is rolling out to selected creators now.

Meta announced Horizon Create, a new app enabling players to build entire games from text prompts and publish them directly to Facebook and Instagram. The company revealed the tool and companion Horizon Studio at Meta Connect this week, though no general release date was confirmed.
Horizon Create users can try and remix other players' games while Meta's Horizon Engine builds their own creation from a prompt. A browser-based Horizon Studio tool offers more detailed game creation controls. Both apps are interoperable and allow instant publishing across Facebook, Instagram and Horizon.
"Someone scrolling through Instagram can tap a clip of your game and be in a multiplayer session within seconds, without needing to download an app or being redirected," Meta said. "Your game lives natively in the feeds where people already discover content and connect with friends."
Both Create and Studio are currently in the hands of selected creators. Monetisation details are coming soon. Meta is backing creators financially through its Meta Horizon Creator Fund. Early access is rolling out gradually to the public.
