Mega Man: Dual Override Launching in Spring 2027 Alongside New Mega Man and Proto Man Amiibo

Capcom has officially announced that Mega Man: Dual Override will make its way to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 in Spring 2027. The news was shared during the latest Nintendo Direct broadcast, which also provided fans with a first look at upcoming amiibo figures tied directly to the new release.

Alongside the launch of the game itself, two new amiibo figures based on Mega Man and Proto Man will be released on the exact same day. This marks Mega Man's second official amiibo figure, following his original Super Smash Bros. release. Currently, no specific details regarding the amiibo functionality have been revealed by Capcom, with further announcements expected at a later date.

The recent Nintendo Direct broadcast also treated viewers to fresh footage of the game, featuring the first-ever look at Proto Man gameplay. According to reports, Proto Man's core gameplay distinction lies in his utilization of a shield, which he can employ for both defensive protection and offensive maneuvers.
