Mega Man: Dual Override reveals Jet Man, new Robot Master at Tokyo Game Show

Capcom has officially revealed Jet Man as the next Robot Master for Mega Man: Dual Override. The announcement came during the 2026 Tokyo Game Show, following the earlier reveal of Twinkle Girl.

The game will feature Proto Man as a playable character alongside Mega Man. According to Capcom, Proto Man possesses unique abilities that give players distinct playstyles when tackling challenges.

Mega Man: Dual Override introduces an Override system that lets robots temporarily unleash power beyond normal capabilities. The trade-off is significant: when Override runs out, players experience a temporary loss in performance, making timing critical to strategy.

A new Custom Chip system allows players to personalize Mega Man and Proto Man with additional abilities. Available power-ups include rapid-fire attacks, protective shield bubbles, hover capabilities, and more. Players can experiment with different chip combinations to develop unique strategies.

Twinkle Girl, one of eight new Robot Masters, uses firework-themed attacks in battle. Like classic Mega Man games, defeated Robot Masters yield special weapons that convert their abilities into powerful tools. Special weapons consume energy with each use, requiring strategic deployment.

The new trailer hints at the return of classic Robot Masters. Astro Man from Mega Man 8 appears in the footage, suggesting other legacy bosses may return for this adventure.

Mega Man: Dual Override launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch in 2027.
