Mattel Brick Shop Announces 3,509-Piece OG Xbox Replica Building Set
In honor of the original console's 25th anniversary, Mattel Brick Shop has unveiled a 3,509-piece 1:1 scale replica building set of the OG Xbox featuring working lights, audio effects, and internal dioramas.
Mattel Brick Shop has announced a new 3,509-piece building set that recreates the original Xbox console in a 1:1 scale replica. Created in honor of the console's 25th anniversary, the model comes paired with a replica of the iconic 'Duke' controller and is priced at £295 in the UK. The set is scheduled to ship on October 16.
Rather than a standard static display model, the brick-built console can be opened up to reveal three hidden interior dioramas featuring NanoWorld figures. These vignettes pay tribute to three classic titles from the system's library: Halo: Combat Evolved, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and Psychonauts. The set also includes interactive features, such as controller-activated LEDs that light up the scenes alongside game-appropriate soundtracks.
The release marks an ambitious project from the Mattel Brick Shop label, which was established in 2025 as a brand focusing on high-end collector items rather than traditional playsets. While distinct from Mattel's previous Mega line—which handled earlier construction kits like the Xbox 360 set—the new brand enters the market with a luxury collector's piece that expands upon standard brick-built console designs by incorporating integrated audio and lighting features directly controlled via the bundled controller model.
