Madden NFL 27 Confirmed as North America’s Next Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial

Nintendo has announced that Madden NFL 27 is the next Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial for players in North America. Active subscribers will be able to play the entire title for free beginning on September 9 through September 15. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, and any progress made during the trial period will transfer over to the full version if purchased.

Powered by the Persona Engine, EA Sports Madden NFL 27 features an always-evolving Franchise mode where athletes exhibit distinct, realistic personalities that affect their motivations and reactions. Gameplay updates include precise control via authentic wide receiver and defensive back battles, short-yardage mechanics, defensive coverage improvements, and strategic pre-play settings. Additionally, players can experience a deeper progression path through the Superstar G.O.A.T. Career Journey and roster customization via Ultimate Team Captains.

At present, this Game Trial announcement applies exclusively to North America, and Nintendo has not yet revealed plans for a similar trial event in Europe.
