NAVI faces MKOI in LEC Summer Finals decider for Worlds spot

The LEC 2026 season reaches its climax this week in Nice, France, with the Summer Finals determining which teams will represent EMEA at the League of Legends World Championship. Natus Vincere and Movistar KOI clash in the decisive match, with the winner securing the final Worlds spot alongside already-qualified G2 Esports and Karmine Corp.

NAVI and MKOI arrive after intense semifinal victories. NAVI defeated GIANTX in a five-game series while MKOI outlasted Team Vitality. Both teams showed vulnerability in their runs, with the matches marked by individual errors that could prove costly at this stage. Analysts suggest the matchup will hinge on jungle play and team consistency rather than raw individual skill.

NAVI's strength centres on LEC Rookie of the Year Enes 'Rhilech' Uçan, the Turkish jungler who delivered standout performances in the GIANTX series, including a 2v3 triple kill on Shyvana. The young roster has demonstrated significant growth throughout the split. Movistar KOI counter with Javier 'Elyoya' Prades Batalla, a veteran who has attended the last five World Championships and will lean on his extensive competitive experience.

Despite NAVI's upward trajectory, betting markets favour MKOI at 66 percent on Polymarket, reflecting the experience gap between the organisations. However, Rhilech's current form presents a genuine threat to those expectations.

The winner advances to face Karmine Corp in the final. G2 Esports, seeking their fourth consecutive first seed for Worlds, await the victor after defeating KCorp 3-1 two weeks ago. G2 have dominated the year, winning both splits and the 2025 Summer Playoffs. KCorp impressed in the regular season with a 18-2 record across 20 matches but remain winless against G2 in best-of-five competition this year.

The LEC Summer Finals begin September 18, 2026 at 17:00 CEST.
