iRacing Season 4 2026 Released with Key Track Updates, UI Changes and Car Upgrades

iRacing has officially rolled out its Season 4 2026 update, introducing a major third major update packed with track refreshes, complete re-scans, vehicle dynamics overhauls, and user interface improvements. The release went live on Wednesday, 9th September 2026, alongside a patch for the service.

Among the primary highlights are four new cars available for purchase as DLC: the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH, the NASCAR Gen 4 Grand National, and a bundle featuring two Caterham Sevens (the Academy and the 420R). The Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH stands out as the second LMH-spec Hypercar in the service, utilizing a naturally aspirated V12 and a Balance of Performance system rather than a hybrid system. Meanwhile, users who already own the legacy Gen 4 Cup model will receive the new NASCAR Gen 4 Grand National upgrade for free. Existing vehicles have also received overhauls, most notably the Mazda MX-5, which features updated suspension, a latest tyre model, and redesigned aerodynamics to replicate real-world bump drafting.

Track content has received extensive attention. Re-scans built from the ground up using laser scan data have been applied to Road America, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, and the Milwaukee Mile. The Milwaukee Mile now includes a newly added road course layout, while Road America features two new short East and West layouts. Summit Point Raceway and Road America also received refreshes featuring updated textures, trackside details, and kerbing.

User interface improvements focus heavily on pitstops, bringing clearer pitbox markers, duration estimates, damage information, and active selections. An optional on-screen damage meter with color-coded areas has been introduced, alongside a revised quick settings menu, updated smoke effects, and the initial soft-launch rollout of class-specific pace cars during IMSA rolling starts. Furthermore, the iRacing Launcher received updates including a rebuilt Team Registration window, a reconstructed Leagues area, separate pages for past session results with deep links, and support for a new language, Mexican Spanish.
