Nintendo Announces Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo has revealed Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Definitive Edition, coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on February 25, 2027, with enhanced features and save data transfer options.

Nintendo has officially announced Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Definitive Edition, a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version of the Musou-style action RPG originally released for the Nintendo Switch in 2020. The updated title is scheduled to launch on February 25, 2027.

The Definitive Edition will include all of the original release’s Expansion Pass content, alongside enhanced visuals and frame rates, increased enemy counts on screen during battles, and a brand-new, challenging Calamity Mode. Players who already own the original Nintendo Switch version will be able to transfer their existing save data and purchase the digital Nintendo Switch 2 version at a discount.

Developed by Omega Force, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is set 100 years prior to the events of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, allowing players to choose from numerous characters to battle waves of enemies. The title follows last year's release of its sequel, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment.
