Hideo Kojima Confirms OD Development Back on Schedule After SAG Strike Pause
Performance capture and dialogue recording for Kojima Productions' OD have resumed following the SAG strike halt, with the project now proceeding as planned. Actors Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer are delivering performances Kojima describes as intense

Hideo Kojima has confirmed that development on OD is back on track after production paused during the SAG strike. Performance capture, dialogue recording, and ADR sessions had been halted but have now resumed this year, with the project moving forward on schedule.
Kojima shared the update during Xbox's showcase at Tokyo Game Show as part of an expanding partnership between Xbox and Kojima Productions. The publisher recently agreed to help release Kojima's PHYSINT project after PlayStation dropped it, signaling a deepening collaboration between the two.
The actor roster for OD includes Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer, both delivering what Kojima describes as intense and outstanding performances. He expressed enthusiasm about audiences eventually seeing their work on the project.
Kojima has not yet revealed a release date for OD. In June, reports confirmed the project remained safe from Xbox's wider studio reset and cancellations. Kojima has historically aimed for his projects to exceed audience expectations, and he indicated OD is intended to establish new boundaries in the horror genre.
