Halo Fest is still coming to Seattle in December 2026, according to a confirmation from Halo Studios leadership. The event will take place December 11–13, 2026, and celebrates the Halo franchise's 25th anniversary since the release of Halo: Combat Evolved.

Tahir "Tashi" Hasangjeka, Director of Competitive Engagement at Halo Studios, posted on social media on September 24 to reassure the community. "Jumping on here briefly to confirm Halo Fest is still on for December. No changes to dates, locations, etc." he wrote, adding that the studio's immediate priority is supporting teammates affected by recent changes.

The confirmation arrives during a turbulent period for Halo Studios. Microsoft recently conducted layoffs that reduced the studio to roughly 20 developers. Separately, it was announced that Activision will handle the Halo franchise moving forward, marking a significant shift in the series' management.

Hasangjeka indicated that more details about Halo Fest will be shared once the studio stabilizes. "For more details on the event, I'm going to please ask for your patience as our first priority is to provide support and care for our teammates," he stated.

According to the official event description, Halo Fest aims to celebrate multiple aspects of the franchise. "No matter why you love Halo, whether it's the story and characters, the music, the art and universe, or just playing with friends—Halo Fest will have something for you," the announcement explained.
