Halo: Campaign Evolved Studio Outlines Five Key Updates for Next Week's Patch

Halo Support has detailed five major changes coming to Halo: Campaign Evolved in a patch scheduled to arrive between August 17th and August 21st.

A new update is heading to Halo: Campaign Evolved next week. According to Halo Support, the upcoming patch targets some of the biggest player issues encountered since the game launched a few weeks ago. The update is scheduled to arrive sometime between August 17th and August 21st, though a fixed release date has not yet been announced.

The patch centers around five headline changes. The first addresses Sgt. Johnson's AI behavior to prevent blocked mission progression. Additionally, Jackals can now be staggered more reliably when players target their hands and feet, and Marines alongside Flood Marines will fire their Assault Rifles while the Magnified Skull is active. Players will also gain the option to turn off both Chromatic Aberration and Film Grain. Finally, the patch includes general stability improvements across multiple platforms.

Players have been issued a warning regarding active game sessions: once the update deploys, any mid-mission save data will be invalidated. Full patch notes will be shared when the update officially launches.
