Gundam Marks 40 Years of Gaming With October Broadcast
A celebratory livestream is set for late October to mark four decades of Gundam games, with expectations for updates on the upcoming Gundam Rogue Orbit and future project reveals.
Gundam is celebrating 40 years of video game history with an official livestream broadcast planned for late October 2026. The event was announced on September 23, 2026, by the official Gundam Perfect Games social media account.
The timing aligns with heightened momentum in the franchise's gaming sector. Gundam Rogue Orbit, a new original title for PlayStation 5, is scheduled for release in March 2027 and has drawn attention for its production values and budget scope.
Gundam games have experienced inconsistent quality over the decades, with notable gaps between releases, particularly for western audiences. The upcoming livestream is expected to provide clarity on the franchise's gaming strategy going forward, potentially featuring Rogue Orbit updates alongside announcements of future projects.
The broadcast represents a formal recognition of the property's four-decade presence in gaming and signals publisher commitment to the space.
