GTA 6 Fans 3D Print Macca the Gator Rather Than Pay $400 for Collector's Box
The GTA 6 Collector's Box figurine has been recreated as a 3D model, letting fans print their own copy of the pink alligator mascot instead of spending $400 on the bundle that doesn't include the game.
GTA 6 fans are bypassing the $400 Collector's Box by downloading and 3D printing their own version of Macca the Gator, the in-game TV mascot included in Rockstar Games' premium bundle.
The Collector's Box sparked criticism for its steep price and the fact that it doesn't include the actual game. The centerpiece figurine depicts Macca as a bright pink alligator in a blue shirt holding a blunt and a martini. Despite being described as intentionally ugly, the box sold out, though scalpers initially struggled to move copies.
A 3D model of Macca has already been shared online, allowing players with access to a 3D printer to create their own version for free, minus printing costs and materials. The recreation lets fans skip the premium price tag, though assembling and painting the printed figure would still require time and effort.
In related GTA 6 news, Rockstar reportedly reminded the game's voice cast of their nondisclosure agreements after actor Stephen Root disclosed his involvement in the project.
