Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Free Edition Shutting Down November 2026

Cygames announced that the Free Edition of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will cease on November 1, 2026. The company updated the Products section of the official site to confirm the end date, though no reasoning was provided for the decision.

The Free Edition serves as a trial for the fighting game, available exclusively on PS4, PS5, and PC. Players can access a rotating selection of characters to test core modes including Arcade, Training, and online Versus matches. Save files created in the Free Edition transfer to the full game, making it a genuine way to evaluate whether the title suits their interests before purchase.

Cygames continues supporting the Free Edition through the November 1 deadline. As of September 17-24, 2026, the available roster includes base-game fighters Gran, Djeeta, and Beelzebub, plus DLC characters Lucilius and Sandalphon. The rotation changes weekly, cycling through the full roster over time.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising remains available on Switch 2, PS4, PS5, and PC. The full paid version will continue operating normally after the Free Edition closes.
