Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.71 Adds Four New Cars and Three World Circuits

Gran Turismo 7's version 1.71 update has arrived, introducing four new vehicles, three new World Circuits, and Whistler as a featured curation in Scapes.

Gran Turismo 7’s latest content update, version 1.71, has officially launched. Following teasers from Series Producer Kazunori Yamauchi and official social media channels, the update brings a fresh roster of four distinct vehicles to the simulation racing title alongside three new World Circuits and the addition of Whistler as a featured curation in Scapes.

The vehicle lineup is divided into specific driving categories. Representing the "Street Icon" category is the ’97 Toyota Chaser Tourer V, which can be acquired through Used Cars and is tied to tuner and drift culture heritage. Joining it from the mid-1990s Japanese saloon era is the ’97 Toyota Mark II Tourer V, positioned as a "Sleeper Pick" and built on the same X100 platform as the Chaser. For players seeking direct driver engagement, the ’08 Caterham Seven Superlight R500 enters Brand Central under the "Pure Driver" classification, marking the British brand's return to the series for the first time since 2013's Gran Turismo 6. Finally, modern electrification arrives via the ’25 Hyundai IONIQ 6 N in the "Next Gen Performance" category, featuring enthusiast-focused adjustments like upgraded brakes and torque vectoring.

The free update is available for players on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms, requiring an active internet connection and in-game credits or progression to buy the vehicles. Additionally, players who have not yet purchased the full game can access the free My First GT experience via the PlayStation Store.
