Good Smile Company Announces IgniSphere Fantasy IP and Dawngazer Action JRPG

Good Smile Company revealed IgniSphere, a new fantasy intellectual property launching with Dawngazer, a fantasy action JRPG planned for 2028 across PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Good Smile Company announced IgniSphere, a new fantasy IP that will extend across multiple media formats including games, figures, and light novels published by Kadakawa.

The first game in the IP is Dawngazer, a fantasy action JRPG in development by IgniSphere Studio, a newly formed team led by Takafumi Noma. Noma is known for his work on Unicorn Overlord. The game is planned for release in 2028 on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2, with support for English, Japanese, and simplified and traditional Chinese.

Dawngazer's music is composed by Yoshimi Kudo, who has previously worked on Unicorn Overlord and Elden Ring. Good Smile Company released a teaser trailer alongside the announcement and launched an official X account for the project.

The Akihabara-based company is primarily known for manufacturing figures, but has expanded into gaming in recent years. Good Smile Company released the Nekopara mobile game and a Patlabor game on Steam. The company previously managed media for the Muv-Luv franchise before Avex acquired the IP in 2017.
