Frontier Developments has revealed its roadmap for upcoming releases, highlighting a new game in the Planet franchise alongside its recently announced Disney collaboration. The studio is preparing for the launch of Planet Zoo 2 on October 13, but the latest earnings report outlines several major projects planned for future years.

According to the roadmap, a new title in the Planet franchise is scheduled to launch in the 2028 fiscal year. Because previous major entries include Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo, the upcoming project will be a new addition rather than a direct continuation of those specific games. This release will be followed by a new construction and management simulation title in the 2029 fiscal year, which could potentially be a sequel such as Planet Coaster 3 or a new Jurassic World Evolution game. Finally, a major Disney collaboration is slated for release in the 2030 fiscal year at the earliest.
