Fortnite Adds Pac-Man Mecha Ghosts and Blinky Companion

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 welcomes Pac-Man as a playable crossover, introducing new gameplay elements and cosmetics to the battle royale.

According to a press release from Bandai Namco issued September 17, players can now face Mecha Ghost mini-bosses during matches and recruit a Sprite companion to assist them. The interactive Pac-Man Sidekick is also available for players to enlist on their quests.

From September 19 to September 25, the PAC-MAN Sidekick will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop alongside a collection of arcade-themed cosmetics. The Sidekick functions as an invincible animated buddy that runs alongside player characters during matches, complete with a dedicated emote, authentic arcade music jingles, and sound effects.

The cosmetic collection includes the PAC-MAN Back Bling, which cycles through Cherry, Orange, and Galaxian designs as players earn eliminations. Additional items include the PAC-MAN Gloves Pickaxe, themed footwear, and other accessories. The Mecha Ghost mini-bosses and Sprite companions will remain available until October 31.

Fortnite continues to expand its roster of licensed characters and franchises. Recent additions include Kingdom Hearts, and the season already features established collaborations with properties including Bugs Bunny, Buzz Lightyear, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
