Fortnite Adds Jimothy The Raccoon As Free Sidekick During Fortnitemares

Fortnite has added Jimothy the raccoon as a free Sidekick during the Fortnitemares event. The beloved viral sensation, known for his distinctively rounded shape, is now available to players alongside the event's horror-themed collaborations with properties including Five Nights at Freddy's, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Beetlejuice.

Sidekicks in Fortnite are companion characters that accompany players across various game modes. While invisible to opponents, Sidekicks are visible to the player and their party, and each one includes unlockable rewards. Jimothy joins an established lineup that already includes characters like Spongebob Squarepants and Spyro the Dragon.

Players can obtain Jimothy for free by extracting the Dumpster Dive Sprite, which was introduced at the start of Fortnitemares. The addition utilizes the Sprite feature introduced in the previous season. Jimothy's arrival in Fortnite follows his earlier crossover into World of Warcraft, reflecting the character's broader presence across gaming platforms this year.

Fortnitemares brings multiple collaborations and seasonal content updates to the battle royale, with the event marking a mix of horror-focused additions and lighter, community-friendly inclusions like the Jimothy Sidekick.
