Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Appears to Feature Roblox Crossover

An upcoming Fortnite season features characters from various gaming properties, notably including a character from the viral Roblox game 99 Nights in the Forest.

Developer Epic Games appears to be bringing a Roblox crossover to the upcoming season of its battle royale title, Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override. The new season introduces a massive array of gaming properties and historical characters. Epic's initial trailer and promotional key art showcase an assortment of well-known gaming icons, including Crash Bandicoot, Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, Persona 5's Joker, Mega Man, Mortal Kombat characters Kitana and Scorpion, Pac-Man, Street Fighter's Blanka, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Lara Croft, and Geralt from The Witcher.

However, one specific inclusion has drawn notable attention: the deer from the viral Roblox experience 99 Nights in the Forest appears in both the trailer and promotional key art. This crossover stands out following comments made a few months prior by Epic boss Tim Sweeney, who referred to Roblox as a major force that threatens to swallow the gaming industry, criticizing its centralized platform structure and revenue-sharing model. Despite those past remarks, the appearance of the 99 Nights in the Forest character indicates a collaboration between the properties for the upcoming gaming-focused season.

99 Nights in the Forest is a horror experience housed on the Roblox platform where players explore a secluded forest to find missing children while surviving a hostile environment and a stalking deer. The experience launched alongside Roblox on March 4, 2025, quickly becoming one of the platform's most-played games. Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override is scheduled to begin on August 20.
