Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Drops to Number 8 as EA Sports FC 27 Debuts at UK Chart Top

EA Sports FC 27 has claimed the top spot in the latest UK charts following its 25 September release, marking a significant shift in the software rankings.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, Nintendo's new release, has dropped to number eight after its debut last week. Despite the slip, the position remains strong for a newly launched title, particularly given the competition from multiple high-profile releases in the same period.

The chart landscape reflects broader platform trends. PS5 has outpaced other consoles in terms of sales, with Switch accounting for 8% of the market and Switch 2 representing 5%.

Beyond the top entries, other notable movements include Metroid Prime 4: Beyond returning to the charts. The Witcher III is experiencing a resurgence ahead of the release of its Remastered version, which appears multiple times across different editions in the top 40.

The full top 40 includes Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition at number one (excluding FC 27's debut position in some markets), Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt GOTY Edition, and other established titles alongside newer releases like Silent Hill: Townfall, which also debuted during this period as a multi-platform release.
