Square Enix has released a new trailer for Final Fantasy Resonance at Tokyo Game Show 2026, introducing Gilgamesh, a wandering Swordmaster character who appears to have lost his memories.

The trailer shows Gilgamesh as a formidable encounter that draws multiple party members into battle together. His imposing stature looms over the rest of the cast, and his many hands and multiple weapons suggest proficiency across varied combat styles. According to the trailer, one of his former companions appears during the encounter and seems to diffuse the situation before it escalates.

Gilgamesh joins previously revealed characters like Squall. Final Fantasy Resonance launches October 22nd across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. A free demo is available now.
