Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Director Addresses 200GB Size and DLC Plans

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's director Kazushige Hamaguchi has weighed in on concerns about the game's 200GB storage requirement, indicating the team is comfortable with the scale of the release.

In an interview with Video Games Chronicle, Hamaguchi addressed the substantial file size, which reflects the scope of the third entry in the Final Fantasy 7 remake project. The director's comments suggest Square Enix views the storage footprint as proportional to the game's scope and content volume.

Hamaguchi also discussed the studio's plans for post-launch downloadable content, though specific details about DLC offerings were not fully detailed in the available materials. The comments indicate Square Enix intends to support the game after its initial release.

Additionally, the interview touched on character details, with new information about Tifa shared during the discussion. The full scope of these revelations was not specified in the source material.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth represents the continuation of Square Enix's ambitious remake of the 1997 classic, following Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Remake Intergrade.
