Hamster has announced that the Famicom port of Crazy Climber is the newest addition to its Console Archive range. Released for the Famicom in 1986, the game follows the successful 1980 arcade original from Nichibutsu.

Crazy Climber is a vertically-scrolling platformer where a player attempts to scale the outside of skyscrapers while avoiding falling objects, birds, and hostile residents. The arcade version featured a dual-stick layout requiring players to coordinate movement between both hands to control the climber.

Some home versions were packaged with clip-on sticks attached to two Famicom D-pads to replicate the arcade's twin-stick experience. The Famicom edition includes expanded levels and side-on platforming stages, making it one of the best iterations of the classic.

Crazy Climber is now available on PlayStation, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch through Hamster's Console Archives.
