Exodus Confirmed for April 7, 2027 Launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC

Archetype Entertainment used gamescom Opening Night Live to confirm a worldwide launch date for Exodus, its upcoming sci-fi action RPG. The game will arrive on April 7, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via both Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The announcement was accompanied by a new cinematic gameplay trailer that spotlights two companions joining the protagonist Jun. Salt is described as an Awakened octopus mercenary and bounty hunter who pilots a specialized combat mech. Her toolkit emphasizes long-range sniping, quick evasive maneuvers, and ink-like smokescreens that confuse and disorient enemies. The second companion, Emrys, belongs to the Deva, an enigmatic Celestial species defined by many consciousness. Emrys plays a support role, launching Remnant Orbs that drain and weaken enemies while feeding stolen power back to Jun as protection.

Archetype also revealed a wishlist milestone program to thank players anticipating the release. The game has already surpassed 500,000 wishlists across platforms, unlocking the first tier of rewards: a Celestial Star Map Decoration for the player's in-game apartment, a new batch of concept art, and the first music track, "Elegy for a Forgotten World." Future milestones are slated to grant outfit cosmetics, a Salt Companion Story Cinematic, and additional music tracks. Exodus is available to wishlist now on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

The studio previously released an extended gameplay video, a Gameplay First Look, and a segment titled "Breaching Khonsu," along with other videos covering conversations, stealth, and explorable locales. Today's trailer builds on that material by further introducing the game's combat systems and the rich universe players will explore next year.
