Techland has shared milestone statistics from the first year of Dying Light: The Beast, revealing that players have collectively eliminated 8.6 billion enemies across the game's undead hordes, mutants, and human opponents. The figure exceeds the current world population by approximately 300 million kills.

The developer marked the anniversary with an in-game event featuring community challenges, exclusive rewards, and gameplay bonuses set in Castor Woods. Alongside the enemy elimination count, Techland released additional engagement metrics showing the scale of player activity. The community has completed one billion quests, logged 11,000 years of total gameplay time across 52 million play sessions, and activated Beast Mode 345 million times.

Cooperative gameplay has drawn 1.7 million players into shared experiences, though the game has also recorded 39 million player deaths. The Volatile creature emerged as the most common cause of death in the game, making it the player base's most lethal threat.

The statistics also highlighted player behavior patterns. Repair kits proved to be the most-crafted item among all available crafting options, surpassing healing bandages and lockpicks. Since the Restored Land update launched in March, players have recharged flashlights more than six million times.
