The story follows two distinct protagonists, Bianca and Nera from Dragon Quest V, who hail from different backgrounds and share a common goal: finding the leaves of life or magical flowers to cure their deathly ill fathers. Both heroines are summoned into the deteriorated land of Witherwood by an imp companion named Fluffy, whose quest involves restoring life to the barren kingdom. Players can choose to control either Bianca or Nera as their main protagonist, and each character comes with specific battle buffs. Bianca specializes in offensive tactics to finish encounters quickly, while Nera provides passive defensive abilities to keep the team standing longer.
